Congressional Caucus and Obama Health Care Plan

Finally the Congressional Black Caucus is finding it's voice in the health care debate.

As reported in Black Press USA Black Leaders have launched what they term a grassroots campaign for health care reform. If we are to read Black Press USA, the Congressional Black Caucus has pledged to kill any House health care bill that doesn't include a robust public option and organizational members of the Black Leadership Forum are rolling out an array of grassroots campaigns in support of passing the the bill that includes a robust public option.

We will see how this plays out. At the end of the day. Their biggest fight may be with bigots and right wingers like Limbaugh
, the Repubicans, and yes, even our President, Barack Obama.

Let's see how it plays out. Obama realizes that
Health could take out the Democrats.

Barack Obama's Twist on Race, Color, Blacks, Whites and Health Care

You have to give it to Barack Obama and his advisors, they are trying to turn lemons of bigotry and
racism into lemonade. He is trying to twist the ugly growing color aroused hatred, bigorty and all out racism, into something less.

Get this, the new Obama strategy is to call the ugly growing color aroused hatred, bigorty and all out racism in this county, a fear of "big changes" and of the growing role of government -- not racism.

But he can find a way to call out black folks.

Am I missing something or did President Barack Obama just become the national enabler of white bigorty, color arousal and racism in America?

As blogger Antoinette recently asked
, Where are we going? Back to the Jim Crow days?

The major news outlets are have a field day on the whole Barack Obama denial of racism issue. News outlets such as,
Reuters,The Washington Post, the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, the Chicago Tribune and the New York Times Jeff Zeleny are reporting on how President Obama said Friday that he did not believe his race was the cause of fierce criticism aimed at his administration in the contentious national debate over health care. The Los Angles Times is reporting on the strory from Washington, Mark Silva with The LA Times reports, - Fear of "big changes" and of the growing role of government -- not racism -- are behind much of the criticism that the White House faces, President Obama said during a sweeping series of television interviews to air Sunday. Mark also reports that Obama's media blitz is intended to promote his healthcare plans. But he confronts much more than that issue in the interviews, which will dominate Sunday morning's news shows.

In a number of interviews, Obama also addressed the tone of a heated summer debate over healthcare, and President Carter's contention that racism underlies critics' Hitler comparisons and other harsh attacks on Obama.

Obama disagreed with Carter, saying that the invective instead reflected the kind of turmoil that is common "when presidents are trying to bring about big changes."
"Are there people out there who don't like me because of race? I'm sure there are," Obama told CNN's John King. "That's not the overriding issue here."

As reported by the LA Times, Obama's interviews will air Sunday morning on ABC News' "This Week," CBS News' "Face the Nation," NBC News' "Meet the Press" and CNN's "State of the Union," as well as on the Spanish-language Univision network.

Millions of Americans will be
watching our President try to twist and turn America's color aroused lemons into lemonade. Candidly I'm sure sure the Presidents attempts to twist the ugly growing color aroused hatred, bigorty and all out racism in this country into lemonade will cool the ever growing thurst of hatred towards him and black Americans.

The twist is that a twist. When we turn around and look foward, the ugly growing color aroused hatred, bigorty and all out racism in this county will continue to be acted out in America.

NAACP Joins Fight For Federal Taser Standards

The Publisher of Tasered While Black says: Finally the National Office of the NAACP is discussing the issue of Black folks getting Tasered While Black. We salute the fact that Ben Jealous has joined in this fight. I hope that the National office of the NAACP's new involvement is sincere, and is not just another PR effort that they have been famous for in the past.

Let's see if the NAACP will join the already established effort of the Afrospear and
Tasered While Black to gain a Congressional Taser Hearings or will they go it alone, and establish a new effort for PR purposes... Only time will tell.

Benjamin Jealous

As reported on the NAACP Website and the Afro Newspaper in Baltimore Maryland, (September 17, 2009) - The NAACP is renewing a push for federal standards on police use of force after the shooting of an unarmed Black man by two White police officers inside a church while day care children watched, the Associated Press reported.

According to witnesses, the man was surrendering but officials in Rockford, Ill., deny this description of events, saying Mark Anthony Barmore attempted to grab an officer's gun after they cornered him in the church.

However, both sides agree Barmore ran when officers approached him in the church parking lot, highlighting the suspicion and fear that can poison relationships between police and minority communities across the country.

"There are no national standards for the use of force (or) training for use of force," Benjamin Todd Jealous, president and CEO of the NAACP, said Sept. 11.

Hustling Tavis Smiley and Wells Fargo Subprime Mortgages

Tavis Smiley Headlined Seminars Targeting African Americans

The Washington Independent reports that Wells Fargo & Co. allegedly targeted African American borrowers for higher-cost subprime mortgages. The bank attracted attendees to a series of day-long "Wealth Building" seminars held in black neighborhoods in eight cities across the country by featuring trusted black speakers.

The seminars, promoted heavily in black media, featured prominent African American commentator and PBS talk show host Tavis Smiley as well as Kelvin Boston, the host of "Moneywise," a multicultural financial affairs show.

Smiley commended Wells Fargo and encouraged the attendees to seriously consider real estate investments. In seminars held after Hurricane Katrina, Smiley also emphasized the importance of building assets and wealth, saying those who had had done so were able to leave New Orleans, while those with nothing had to stay behind.

The seminars sometimes drew standing-room-only crowds with numerous Wells Fargo representatives on hand, seated at carrels to meet one-on-one with potential borrowers who lined up after the motivational speeches. Reportedly, Wells Fargo Home Mortgage encouraged its employees to promote subprime mortgages under the pretense of "alternative lending."

This is not the first charge of Wells Fargo targeting minorities for subprime mortgages. The Washington Independent reported last week that, in a suit filed by the city of Baltimore, former employees claimed Wells Fargo loan officers referred to minority borrowers as "mud people" and called subprime mortgages as "ghetto loans." Obama, Jimmy Carter, Colorism, Racism and Color Arousal

As reported by MSNBC, We’ve seen this play before. Democrats accuses Republicans of racism. Republicans fire back. Democrats retreat. So it went Wednesday, when former President Jimmy Carter, 84, fingered racism for fueling the hysterical tone of many of President Obama’s critics. More HERE

AAPP: Candidly, I have a few concerns regarding President Barack Obama and his enabling of many white Americans to be color aroused bigots.

Let's take a look back at the past few days...

Why is it that Barack Obama does not see the 'You lie' outburst as color aroused bigotry? yet, a former 'good ol boy' Democrat like former President Jimmy Carter can tell it like it is.

Why did Barack Obama distance himself from former president Jimmy Carter, rather than just taking care of the bigger economic problems of our nation? Speaking of bigger problems, Why d
id President Barack Obama really need to call Kanye West out of his name, and call him a Jackass? For that matter, why does President Barack Obama call out black folks but refuse to call out these white wing bigots when they subject all Americans too their collective color aroused bigotry?

OK Yes, Barack Obama is President and he is human with human opinions, but he is also suppose to be a role model for kids.

Mr. President, thanks for calling Kanye West a jackass. As if we already didn't know... I expect more of our President. I would expect this type of Sister Soldier moment from Bill Clinton or for that matter George W. Bush, not Barack Obama.

Kayne West and Taylor Swift: Barack Obama calls Kanye West as a 'jackass'

Kayne West (L) jumps onstage after Taylor Swift Photo: GETTY

Candidly the one the Ptresident should have really called a Jack Ass is the one who called him a Liar in front of millions of Americans -Joe Wilson.

Now he is a real jackass!

Now Barack Obama through his spokesman, are publicly disagreeing with former President Jimmy Carters assessment regarding racism, colorism, or color arousal. You see President Carter recently said, "I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man," Carter told NBC News. Read: Carter: Wilson Comments 'Based on Racism'

AAPP says: Jimmy Carter was right when he said, "racism inclination still exists. And I think it's bubbled up to the surface because of the belief among many white people, not just in the South but around the country, that African-Americans are not qualified to lead this great country. It's an abominable circumstance, and it grieves me and concerns me very deeply."

Picture

Now it looks like Barack obama and Michael Steele, who blogger riPPA calls the Signifying Monkey are the apologist for white color arousal, bigotry or what some call racism. Let's call them "the racism enablers"

Get this, as reported by Reuters, Carter's remark also drew the condemnation of Michael Steele, the first African-American to become chairman of the Republican National Committee.

"President Carter is flat out wrong. This isn't about race. It is about policy," he said in a statement. "This is a pathetic distraction by Democrats to shift attention away from the president's wildly unpopular government-run healthcare plan that the American people simply oppose."

I guess Barack Obama and other national leaders will continue to play this myth that racism is not playing out 'big time' in America since Barack Obama was elected. But we don't have to listen to Barack Obama or his spokesman, lets see how its' playing out in America.

Read what one progressive black blogger has to say about all of this. Also listen to some of America's real black voices rather than the voices of
bozos like Newt Gingrich or Michael Steele.

Black Folks, Don't Leave Home Without A Camcorder

Blogger, Antoinette, at the blog Antoinette's Point of View has a great post about black folks not leaving home without a camcorder or cell phone that takes recorded images.

This black woman from Delaware is pointing out something that is needed in Black America. A movement to protect our community from assaults from inside and outside of our communities.

A movement for "Black Folks to take our camcorder with us when going out, in other words, don't leave home without it."

I have taken the liberty of re-posting her great post below:

Black people in the United States should never leave home without a camcorder or cell phone that takes recorded images. All across these United States, black people are stopped by police and beaten and then being charged with outlandish charges.

It is time for Attorney General Eric Holden, to truly take a close look at what is going on across this country and address it. It is time to take the bad police officers off the streets and charge them with the crimes that they are so quick to dish out to people that are not doing what they say that they are doing such as resist arrest while being handcuffed.

What we need also is a committee out of each state and county to look over these cases, that are citizens to judge the injustices that the bad police officers are doing. Why should the bad police officers keep getting off and given a badge to practice such grave injustices to the Black Americans in this country? How much longer is this going to continue, with the beatings, tasers and shootings of innocent black Americans? What is it going to take for the attention that is so desperately needed to these cases to be looked at from a federal level, and justice to be done on a federal level with a crime against the people of these United States?

The above UTUBE INSERT is taken from: Young Garvey's page on the Day of Outrage

Horrific incident is captured on video of an innocent man being beaten mercilessly by NYPD officers in uniform. BLOW BY BLOW: Officer Maurice Harrington is caught on video whacking Michael Cephus

Police take advantage of a Drunk Girl that came to a Police Station. For some reason they forgot that there are cameras in the building.

Teen Speaks Out On cop Beating, Malika Calhoun Interview http://www.cbsnews.com/vide... Neighbors react to video on King 5 TV. http://www.king5.com/video/... The missing 20 seconds of the videos ...

With the Town Hall Protestors who are running around with thier guns stating their 2 amendment rights. Black Americans are being beat down and come close to death in the streets of America. It is time for Attorney General Eric Holden to pay attention. It is also time for to protect yourself, carry a camcorder with you, carry it like VISA, don't leave home without it.
